The game features seamless movie-to-game transitions and never-before-seen exclusive movie footage from the movie. You can control eight characters including Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Sam and Frodo. The voice-over is provided by the actual characters from the film, and it includes a musical score composed by Howard Shore.
Altogether there are twelve interactive environments and there is enhanced control that allows you to make complex multi-directional attacks on the forces of evil. These forces present themselves in the form of Shelob, the Witch King and the Dark Lord Sauron. In addition, there are branching storylines that you can follow, and you can use the cooperative multiplayer mode to team up with a fellow player.
